Sol Invictus, elephant painting by Sarah SowardSarah Soward,  Contemporary Surrealist Wildlife Painter
Soward’s work was recently accepted into the Wildlife Artist of the year 2015 exhibition in London and another of her paintings was selected to tour with the Artists4Rhino exhibition in Italy. Her paintings are characterized by an inventive use of color and painterly brush technique. Champagne and hors d’oeuvres in her studio upstairs.

Encaustic painting by Carol AaronCarol Aaron, Encaustic Painter
Aaron’s work, Beauty in Breakdown, recently won in the Women’s View 2015 exhibition at the Caldwell and Community Galleries. She writes, “Texture drives my art.  I am looking to conceptualize, refine and visually explain the feel of what I see. The consistency of the encaustic medium offers a tangible depth and luminescence along with a tactile quality that allows me to create paintings that can be looked into as well as looked at.”

Jewelry by Susan SchappsAdornments by Susan Schaps, Original fine beaded jewelry for over 20 years
Susan Schaps is an established designer, producing extraordinary beaded earrings, bracelets, and necklaces in the Palo Alto area for over twenty years. She works in sterling silver and 24K gold vermeil with exceptional beads acquired from every corner of the globe, including freshwater and lustrous keshi pearls, precious and semi-precious stones, and both new and vintage handmade glass.

Painting by Maria Fregoso-WoodMaria Fregoso-Wood, Botanical and Still Life Painter
“I have spent the last 4 years working in oils, but enjoy using acrylics and watercolors as well. Lately, my focus is in painting botanicals, such as succulents and waterlilies. I especially enjoy finding the many subtle colors in agaves from my native Mexico, which can go from red to neon green, purple, and blue, and how different they look in sunlight and shade.”

Mixed Media artwork by Rosine Abergel FerberRosine Abergel Ferber, Mixed Media Artist
“My process is mostly about the journey to create and seldom about the product created. There are few rights and wrongs and the space is open for inquiry and exploration, with full self permission to try anything and take wild chances, to make messes, and to dare juxtapose strange elements and get them to play together in new ways.”

Painting by Mary wuMary Wu, Abstract and Representational Oil Painter
Largely self-taught, Mary enjoys using oil paints in both impressionist and abstract styles to depict scenic, portrait and still life compositions. Her particular interest in texture and color are clearly represented in her works.
