Sarah Soward releases Kickstarter Campaign

Claremont Art Studios resident artist, Sarah Soward, just released her first Kickstarter campaign to raise money for her current series of paintings. The series has 10 pieces planned so far and is inspired by astronomy and the myths behind the names of our planets and sun. Soward is using the Latin, Stellae Errantes, for the name of the series because the names of Roman deities are used as the names for the planets in our solar system.

If you stopped by Claremont Art Studios this past First Friday, you saw the almost-but-not-quite finished second painting in the series, Mercury. The funds raised through Kickstarter will pay for canvas, stretcher bars, and more paint so that the remaining 8 paintings can be completed.
